Manifest Destiny The Official History of St Johnstone

In 1997, St Johnstone historians Brian Doyle and Alistair Blair published Bristling With Possibilities, described by many as the most complete Scottish club history written. Long out of print, and with surviving copies changing hands at upwards of £170, the authors were persuaded to release an updated version called MANIFEST DESTINY.
This limited edition book can be pre-ordered from the St Johnstone website before publication on 9 December, price £25. Running at over 340 A4 sized pages, with 80 pages of statistics, this will be a welcome addition to every football fan's library.

Forbes Inglis has lived and breathed the Gable Endies for most of his life and from the moment his father joined the Club's Board in the mid 1950s he was probably destined to write this book. Over 248 pages in Goals and Gable Ends he tells the story of the Montrose FC and their almost continual fight to survive financially.
He also describes how one of the Club's international players has had his success attributed to someone else, writes about a betting scandal and explains the connection between the burgh of Montrose and Russian football.
