Tours

There have been a great many tours by Scottish club and international XIs over the years. Initially the trips were mainly to the north of England, but by the turn of the 19th Century, journeys were being made overseas, the Baltics being a particular favourite. The 1920s saw the tours going intercontinental with extensive programmes being organized to the Americas and Africa. Today, with the emphasis on the big European club tournaments and glamour friendlies, tours are not as popular as they once were.
